Local AI in a retail and trade company: Mac Studio and server
A private AI installed in a retail and trade company in Northern Italy: documents, emails, data from PDFs and business software, on a Mac Studio and a dedicated server.
For a retail and trade company in Northern Italy, which asked not to be named, Dabryx installed a local AI on hardware owned by the customer: a Mac Studio and a dedicated server. Staff use it to ask questions about company documents, write emails and texts and extract data from PDFs, and it is connected to the company's software. Every request is processed on site.

The need
The company wanted to use artificial intelligence in its everyday work without sending documents, customer data and commercial information to an external cloud service.
It needed an AI that would work on the company's documents and with the software already in use, on machines it owns.
The solution
We installed the AI directly in the company, on two machines it owns, and connected it to day-to-day work:
- Questions about company documents: the AI searches the company's documents and answers citing its sources.
- Writing emails and texts: drafts, summaries and translations.
- Data extraction from PDFs: it reads invoices, orders and documents and extracts the data from them.
- Connection to your business software: the AI works together with your management system and automations.
- Customer-owned hardware: a Mac Studio and a dedicated server, both at the customer's premises.
- Data stays in the company: texts, files and conversations are not sent to external providers.

The result
The AI is in use at the company. For confidentiality reasons we do not publish the customer's name, city or figures.
If you are considering a similar project, we will explain how we set it up: from the site survey to staff training. For the selection criteria, see the guide on how to choose who installs your local AI.
